Statement of Beliefs

We believe that the Christian faith and doctrine are intertwined with all academics and will undoubtedly be discussed in community, and therefore we require all families to uphold these statements, even if they are not in full agreement with them. Tutors and leaders will be required to adhere to them in all their areas of service to the community. It is our intent to provide our children with a distinctly Christian worldview. While we may hold to denominational differences, we agree on a common statement of faith.

 

BIBLE

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error in its original manuscript, and that it is the only rule and authority in all we believe, say, and do.

GOD

We believe that there is only one living and true God and that He is eternally and equally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

SALVATION

We believe that all mankind are sinners and in need of salvation which Jesus Christ purchased through His shed blood on the cross. Salvation is God's gift by grace alone through faith alone in Christ, not of our own works.

CREATION

We believe that man came by direct creation of God and not by evolution. We believe the Biblical account of the creation of the physical universe, angels, and mankind, and that this account is neither allegory nor myth, but a literal, historical account of the direct creative acts of God. In particular, we believe that man was created by a direct work of God and not from previously existing forms of life, and that all men are descended from the historical Adam and Eve from whom all mankind inherits its sin nature.

HUMANITY

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life.

MARRIAGE & SEXUALITY

We believe that God instituted marriage, the covenant relationship between one man and one woman, intended to be a lifelong union of husband and wife. Husbands and wives are called to exclusive sexual fidelity to one another and single persons are called to abstinence. Anything outside that is sexually immoral and a sin against God. Sexual immorality includes, but is not limited to, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, and pornography.

GENDER

We believe that God wonderfully and fearfully created mankind as male or female. These two distinct, complimentary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. Rejection of one's biological sex is a rejection of how one was created by God.

UNITY

We believe that all believers have spiritual unity through our common faith in Jesus Christ. We have no denominational affiliation, and individual doctrinal differences which may exist should not hinder the unity of our Christian homeschool group.
